The WIN is a membership network aiming at fighting corruption in the water sector.
Our primary function is to provide members with information and a platform to exchange ideas needed to fight corruption. As a first step towards this, WIN members receive our newsletter, consisting of regular updates with news, reports, studies, and general information from fellow members, as well as information on all WIN activities taking place globally and regionally.
At its heart, as a network, the WIN is its members. The WIN encourages its members to use the WIN community functions on the website to strengthen the global network of anti-corruption fighters in water. Our online community system allows members to share their work and other key information related to water governance. Members can upload their professional profile in the member directory and search for others in the directory by name, country or topic. The online community also allows you to take part in our discussion forum to share experiences and increase awareness on corruption in the water sector.
The aim of WIN is to bring together people in the fight against corruption. It seeks to stimulate actions on a local level through regional and national workshops in which it tries to encourage new partnerships between water professionals and anti-corruption fighters. The WIN supports civil society and assists its members in undertaking research, documentation and pilot projects.
WIN is a member driven organisation that its members manage. Right now there is an interim steering committee in place to guide the organisational work required to help it grow. However, in the near future members themselves will have to elect a new steering committee. Members have a voice in the management of WIN, its future and setting priorities.
WIN membership is free of charge.
