The ASB is an NGO working for the improvement of water supply and sanitation for low-income communities of Faisalabad and Punjab. Currently it appears that water and sewage infrastructure projects are not mapped and documenting appropriately, and planning is usually carried out in an ad-hoc manner. This lack of documentation is a hotbed for corruption through cost-inflation and renders the maintenance of the water system very difficult to estimate.
The ASB will therefore work on activities to help foster good documentation to develop a mechanism to facilitate access to information in a systematic way, which will enable community involvement in planning decisions and contribute to the development of effective and integrated development plans. ASB will work to develop this in cooperation with the Local Union Council and District government.
