WIN Workshops on Water and Corruption

WIN Regional Workshops

The WIN has funded a series of Regional Workshops on transparency and accountability in the water sector. So far these have been held in Latin America, South Asia and the Francophone and Anglophone regions of West Africa. These workshops have focused on various approaches for identifying and combating the lack of transparency and accountability within the sectoral, institutional and community levels and have involved a wide range of actors across the public, private, civil-society and donor communities.

KENYA: A boy drinks from a small pool that is the sole water source for the Bulla Maki settlement in North-Eastern Province. The settlement, created by Kenyans of Somali origin who have been displaced by the drought, is four months old. Approximately 300 people, including 123 children, have moved to the area to be near food aid.
