About the webinar
Since its inception in 2006, the Water Integrity Network has promoted water integrity and documented the importance of fighting corruption in the water sector. By promoting the inclusion of Transparency, Accountability and Participation (TAP) as main principles that favor the delivery of equitable water services, WIN is presently focusing on gathering solid evidence on the positive impact of Social Accountability Mechanisms.
In this webinar, Jacopo Gamba and Lotte Feuerstein will present WIN’s objectives and offer some reflections on the role played by citizens in demanding responsive actions from governments and service providers.
About the speakers
Lotte Feuerstein joined the Water Integrity Network in 2014 as programme coordinator for tools and East Africa. At WIN, she develops and promotes tools and manages country programmes to strengthen integrity at community, organizational and water sector policy level in Kenya and Mozambique. She previously worked at GIZ for 5 years in the areas of water, anti-corruption and public finance. From 2010 to 2012, she worked as GIZ advisor in the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation in South Sudan on issues of water sector governance, public finance, strategic and development planning as well as donor coordination. She holds a Master’s degree in political science and public law at the University of Göttingen.
Jacopo Gamba is coordinator for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning at WIN; he is also in charge of partnerships, and acts as regional coordinator for Latin America. Before joining WIN, Jacopo worked extensively in promoting participation and oversight mechanisms in social programmes and public services, along with different organizations such as Transparency International, the United Nations and the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation, both in Latin America and the Balkans. He contributed to the design and implementation of a risk assessment tool for conditional cash transfer programmes and delivered ad hoc trainings for NGOs on public finance monitoring. Jacopo holds a Master in International Law from the University of Trento and a postgraduate diploma in Development Cooperation from the University of Padua.
