Water integrity is built on four pillars: transparency, accountability, participation, and anti-corruption. By promoting these pillars, we work towards more sustainable and equitable water management and contribute to integrated water resource management (IWRM).

The Awash River Basin Authority in Ethiopia is starting to work more closely with stakeholders in the basin and encouraging more participation and accountability in allocating and managing resources. Here are some examples of its work.
