River basin organizations (RBOs)

Notes from the winner of the WIN photo competition 2011

Specialised organizations set up by political authorities, or in response to stakeholder demands. RBOs deal with the water resource management issues in a river basin, a lake basin, or across an important aquifer. The focus here is the basin organizations that are domestic, not transcending state boundaries.
